  • Acne Cleansers

Acne cleansers are an essential part of any acne sufferer's treatment plan. A good product will gently remove make-up and sunscreens and clean your skin without irritating it or drying it out.

These types of products have come a long way in the last few years. They have improved dramatically and can really aid in keeping your skin free of acne.

The main purpose of an acne cleaner is to prepare the skin for the acne treatments that will follow such as exfoliation, acne cream or prescription medications.

Here's info on cleaners you’ll find in your local drugstore.

PhytoMe gentle cleanser: This is a gel that includes a herbal extract to help remove purities from your skin and works great if you use it on a regular basis.

Clarins One step facial cleanser: This cleanser is great to help keep the skin in great shape and uses orange extracts to help remove impurities of the skin.

Face Stockholm Facial Cleanser: This is a self-foaming cleanser that is very mild. It can be used in the morning and evening as well.

St. Ives Facial Cleanser: This is great to use because it has ingredients to help preserve moisture in the skin.

Fira Foaming Tea Tree Cleanser: This is a nice self foaming cleanser that really leaves the skin feeling clean and refreshed.

Use a cleanser that is mild, water-based and not irritating. Irritation can lead to more break outs so you really should be careful about what you use. You don't want to cause more damage by using something that makes it worse instead of better.

Also, if you excessively wash your face it can certainly make matters worse, so try not to scrub too hard as it can cause flare-ups to worsen.

All of the above can help improve your skin, keep your acne at bay and help reduce it all together.
